Schima sp. NV 024

Add to wishlist Remove from wishlist
Cutting-grown young plants of this fast-growing collection from the second-tallest mountain in Vietnam. Schima is in the Theaceae or Camellia family and is widespread in Asia. The small white flowers are most attractive and this species has very good foliage. Not seen in flower and hardiness is unknown, typical of new introductions. A Far Reaches Botanical Conservancy offering. Some species can become towering old-growth trees such as we have seen in southern Yunnan but this was just a youngster at 25'.
